The article dicusses the negative influence that corruption can have in any country or organization, and how the World Bank has been helping countries develop anti-corruption strategies, as well as adopting policy of zero tolerance regarding andy corrupt practices withing the institution itself. The article points out the need of public participation to diagnose, prepare and implement action programs.
